What we collect on this website
Your email address if you sign up for updates; the details you type into the licensing form; a one-way scrambled version of your IP address to stop abuse (we never store the address itself).
Why
To send the updates you asked for, to reply to licensing enquiries, and to keep the forms free of spam.
Where it’s kept
In our database hosted by Supabase in Sydney, Australia. Emails, including licensing enquiries sent to our inbox, go through Google Workspace, which may store them outside Australia, including in the United States. The website itself is served by Vercel and doesn’t store your details: the forms send them straight to our database.
Who sees it
Only the Crane Brain team, and the services that store and send it for us (Supabase, Google Workspace, Vercel). We don’t sell your details.
Unsubscribing
Every update has an unsubscribe link that works straight away.
Your rights
You can ask to see or correct what we hold about you by emailing info@cranebrain.com.au. We handle personal information under the Australian Privacy Principles.
Complaints
If you think we’ve mishandled your information, email info@cranebrain.com.au and we’ll reply within 30 days. If you’re not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
